Triton reaffirmed its commitment to environmental responsibility at Intermodal Europe, unveiling a newly designed exhibition stand built with sustainability at the forefront. This effort resulted in a Gold rating from Better Stands, an organization dedicated to helping the exhibitions industry lower waste and carbon emissions through reusable booth construction.
The focus
The tradeshow industry is known for generating significant waste. Many stands are built for a few days of use before materials are discarded, with large volumes ending up in compactors, recyclables, or landfill sites. This long-standing issue underscored the need for Triton to rethink how its exhibit materials could be designed, used, and reused more responsibly.
Our efforts
Triton collaborated with its exhibition contractor to evaluate every step of the design and build process. The goal: reduce single-use materials and increase the longevity of each component.
Triton’s newly designed exhibit was displayed at Intermodal Europe 2025 in Barcelona. The stand underwent a full assessment by Better Stands and received a Gold certification, the highest certification offered under the Better Stands framework for reusable, low-waste exhibit construction.
The impact
The Gold certification reflects Triton’s strong commitment to supporting more sustainable exhibition practices. The achievement also positions Triton as a contributor to industry-wide change, demonstrating how thoughtful design and long-term planning can reduce environmental impact.
“My goal is to ensure that, whenever and wherever we build exhibition stands, sustainability is a core consideration,” said Sean Bell, VP, Digital Marketing. “This experience showed that meaningful change is possible when we challenge old habits and collaborate on solutions.”
