In collaboration with LoveXpress, the Hong Kong team celebrated Earth Day by supporting Greenskies, an initiative focused on sustainability, inclusion, and community impact. The program creates career pathways for youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through aquaponics farming.

The team gained firsthand exposure to aquaponics, an approach that combines fish farming with hydroponics to grow fresh, nutrient-rich produce. Volunteers supported ongoing operations, learned about the system, and engaged directly with the program’s mission.

“Participating in this event was more than a lesson in biology,” said Simon Yeung, Senior Manager, Procurement at Triton International. “It was glimpse into a future where urban living and environmental stewardship are intertwined. By reimagining sustainability through traditional herbs, not just planting seeds, we are cultivating a more resilient urbane ecosystem.”

Through this experience, the team contributed to an initiative that provides practical training, builds confidence, and fosters independence for participants, while also promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
