The focus
In collaboration with the Westchester Parks Foundation, the New York team volunteered at Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem in support of Camp Morty, a free summer camp serving underserved youth throughout Westchester County.
Camp Morty provides children ages 8-17, including youth living in foster care, homeless shelters, and families receiving public assistance, the opportunity to experience a safe, enriching summer camp environment at no cost.
Our efforts
During the volunteer event, team members assembled hygiene essential kits filled with everyday necessities such as deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and other personal care items. These kits are designed to support campers who may not otherwise have access to these essentials or may be unable to bring them to camp themselves.
In addition to preparing care kits, volunteers also contributed to beautification efforts around the campgrounds by spreading wood chips across garden beds near the teen camp cabins, helping maintain a welcoming and comfortable outdoor space for campers.
“It was great to spend time with colleagues outside the office and support a great cause,” said Jeremy Glick, VP, Treasurer and Head of Credit at Triton International.
The impact
The day reflected a shared commitment to giving back to the community and supporting programs that create meaningful experiences for local youth. Through hands-on service and collaboration, the Purchase team was proud to help make a positive impact on the children and families served by Camp Morty.
